In addition to a host of TV spots, we've gotten a half dozen trailers for Suicide Squad. None of those two-minute footage drops have given much screen time to Viola Davis' manipulative puppet master Amanda Waller, but that's not the case with the latest clip.
Check it out below...
I've noted this before, but it's worth saying again - The marketing campaign for Suicide Squad has been really impressive. Not only has the (admittedly excessive) poster campaign been very creative, but the trailers haven't given away any major spoilers. There's also the fact that the footage has been put together in a very inventive and entertaining manner, and that's certainly the case with this latest trailer. The more we see of Waller the clearer it becomes that Davis was perfectly cast, and I love some of the dialogue she gets in this clip. Roll on August 5th.
Directed by David Ayer and starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and US on August 5, 2016.
