Tanya will return to battle in Mortal Kombat X on June 2. Mortal Kombat creative director Ed Boon revealed on his Twitter account that the Edenian fighter, who first debuted in Mortal Kombat 4, will be available for Kombat Pack owners starting next week.
If you're a relative newcomer, you may remember Tanya as one of the characters who appears chained up in the background of Kahn's Coliseum in Mortal Kombat… which is kind of an inauspicious cameo, but by no means unusual for Mortal Kombat's weird history of character teases.
Tanya is the second of four characters planned for the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack. If you don't own the $29.99 / £24.99 season-pass style offering, you'll be able to purchase Tanya on her own starting a week later on June 9. Boon didn't mention what her individual price will be, but it will likely be $4.99 / £3.99, the same as Jason Voorhees'.
The Predator and Tremor will also join the Mortal Kombat X roster as DLC fighters down the line.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar.
