Mirror's Edge Catalyst trailer says what we're thinking: 'It's good to have you back, girl'

It's kind of hard to believe that a new Mirror's Edge (opens in new tab) game is coming out in just a few weeks. Yet here we are, with the Mirror's Edge Catalyst (opens in new tab) launch trailer to remind us that not only is this really happening, but it looks damn good too:

Even though this is labeled as a launch trailer, don't get too excited; the game won't be available until June 7. Maybe we can give this the Launch Trailer Released Furthest From Actual Launch 2016 Award?

For those who could use a reminder: The original game for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC was released eight years ago, and was never a breakout hit sales-wise. The first-person parkour adventure nonetheless developed a strong fanbase, with players begging for a sequel.

The fact that we're finally getting a new entry, made in Frostbite 3 and turned open-world - even if it trends more toward reboot than sequel - is kind of a miracle. I guess it's true what they say. Sometimes you gotta have Faith.
