This ultra customizable Xbox controller just beat its own Black Friday price
Grab the best gamepad we've tested yet for less than $100
The Victrix Pro BFG has long reigned supreme over our controller reviews. Every gamepad that lands in the GamesRadar+ office has to live up to the super customizable modular design, comfortable form factor, and versatile wireless connection of these premium controls. When the PS5 model dropped to a record-low $99.99 sales price over Black Friday, then, things got heated.
Unfortunately, the Xbox version was still stuck at a three-figure sales price. Now the tables have turned. While the PlayStation edition is either off the shelves or far from its biggest ever discount, the Microsoft-friendly model is beating its $120 Black Friday rate and matching that fantastic $99.99 sales price at Amazon. That's an $80 saving over the $179.99 adjusted MSRP, on the best Xbox Series X controller we've had on the test bench so far.

Save $80 - The Xbox version of the PDP Victrix Pro BFG just beat its own Black Friday price at Amazon, dipping down below the $100 mark for the first time. This gamepad only dropped down to $120 during last month's holiday sales.
Should you buy the PDP Victrix Pro BFG?
The Victrix Pro BFG for Xbox was released after the original PS5 version, but carries a lot of the same design language and features. That means you're getting the modular design that made the original the best PS5 controller we'd tested yet, but also boosting your gamepad with a juicier battery life and wireless Xbox compatibility. At its $179.99 launch price, it brings the fight to the Elite Series 2 and wins - at today's $99.99 rate it's a steal.
Each of its facial components can be swapped and changed for a truly versatile control system. The Victrix Pro BFG can be anything you want, and that's rare to find in the sub-$100 price range. There's just one caveat here, you won't find Hall sensor thumbsticks included. Out the box, these aren't the super-durable sticks the market has fallen in love with, though a separate set can be picked up and slotted in.
That's where the Reloaded model comes in. This newer release has Hall effect tech straight out the box, but launched at an increased $209.99 rate earlier this year. That's a lot of money to throw at something that can be upgraded for far less further down the line and, while it's on sale this week (down to $179.54 at Amazon), the original represents far better value overall.
Ultimately, the Victrix Pro BFG is the go-to controller for anyone looking to up their game right down to the buttons they press and the sticks they use... and where each of those components are placed... and how they respond. The Victrix Pro BFG performs just as well across a wide variety of genres so it doesn't matter what you play, you'll feel the benefit of this particular upgrade.
