My fiancé finally invested in his own Nintendo Switch 2 this week thanks to Pokemon Pokopia, and the first accessory of mine to mysteriously disappear was the Belkin Charging Case. I don't blame him, it's the best Nintendo Switch 2 case I've ever tested, and I've gone through more cases than there are Pokémon in the Pokopia Pokedex.
It's also normally £49.99, which is a lot of cash to part with for a Switch 2 accessory. Yet, if he were to check the Amazon Spring Sale deals, he'd notice that it's down to £39.99 (Amazon), its lowest ever price since launch. In the end, I'm okay with mine being commandeered, especially as £39.99 is an entirely reasonable amount to fork out on another to call my own. But more importantly, it's because he now gets to benefit from its built-in powerbank and ample amounts of storage, just like I did when I first reviewed this incredible bit of kit.
The Belkin Charging Case trumps our best Switch 2 case guide as it features a built-in 10,000mAh power bank that can keep your Switch 2 juiced up, even when the case is fully zipped up and set to the side. It's also equipped with storage for up to 12 physical games, a fabric mesh pocket for smaller additional accessories, and a secret Apple AirTag pocket so you can keep better track of your pricey Nintendo tech.

Should you buy the Switch 2 Belkin Charging Case in 2026?
Moments before my partner's new Switch 2 arrived in the post, I made sure to let him know that the battery wasn't much improved since his original Switch. The only way I've managed to combat the issue is by playing the handheld plugged in at all times, or by picking up the Belkin Charging Case, which is why I recommend it to him and everyone else in 2026.
Inside the bottom of the case, you can find a built-in powerbank which can keep your handheld juiced up at all times. The interior is perfectly moulded to store the charger below your device, and it even accommodates the space needed to have it plugged in. This does keep things pretty bulky, so if you were hoping for an everyday travel case, you'd be better off with the Belkin Carrying case. That also happens to be included in Amazon's Spring Sale and is just £14.99 (Amazon), down from £17.99, and includes everything but that powerbank.
Sticking with the Charging Case version will allow you to game on the go and have your Switch 2 charging, even while fully zipped up. This feature blew my mind when I first reviewed it last year, and it still does all these months later. Ensuring you're also keeping the powerbank charged can be a bit of a pain, but it does contain a small LCD screen that alerts you to how much extra juice is left.
The latest iteration of the case, the Belkin Charging Case Pro, combats this annoying issue as you can charge the powerbank via the outside of the case. However, it's only available to those in the US as of typing, and you can expect to fork out $99.99 (Belkin) to grab the upgraded version of the trio.
If you're looking for your first ever Switch 2 case, you'd be much better off grabbing the original charging version while it's £10 off today. You not only get the benefits of charging on the go, but also storage for up to 12 physical Switch and Switch 2 games, a small pocket for accessories, and a hidden Apple AirTag pocket. Plus, it doesn't cost more than a brand-new Switch 2 game. That's why I'm entirely okay with contemplating grabbing another to replace the one that my fiancé so graciously took off my hands.

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
