I'm building a cozy gaming setup this Black Friday, here's what's in my cart right now
Perfect deals to build that cute and cozy gaming paradise
This year, I've been trying to transform my spare office into a cute, cozy gaming paradise, but all my plans for the space have inevitably not been cheap.
Grabbing a ton of gaming controllers and accessories, and even bits of furniture for my desk to create the setup of my dreams, has been slowly but surely depleting my savings, which is why this week's Black Friday gaming deals are a sight for sore eyes. Pretty much every cozy accessory that I've been mulling over buying has been discounted, and is now sitting in my online cart.
As I'm not one to gatekeep, I've shared everything I'm buying this November down below, so you can pick them up for yourself. As a little heads up, not everything that will be 'cozy' for this Scottish nerd and fan of all things pink will be cozy for you, so I've been sure to include a wide range of my tastes, in hopes you can find some lovely new accessories fit for your setup too.

Divoom Time Gate digital clock | $129.99 $103.99 at Amazon
Save $26 - I already have the Divoom retro Bluetooth speaker sitting on my desk, but I've been longing to add the Time Gate digital clock to it too. This little device can display a range of cute sprite art, which you can download for free using the Divoom app, or create yourself if you feel like it. It looks like something that's jumped straight out of the 90s anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, and as the hardware team's resident anime nerd, I'm so glad it's now $26 off thanks to Black Friday.

How to create the cozy gaming room of your dreams
I've been working on my cozy gaming room for quite some time, so I've learned a thing or two about how to get it just the way I want it. Of course, first on the list of priorities is the budget at hand, which is why these Black Friday deals are incredibly useful. If you don't have a lot to spend, waiting for big deals events like this one (and the Cyber Monday ones that follow) is an ideal way to get what you want and spend as little as possible.
Next, you need to consider the color and theming of your space. My cozy gaming room has a pink and white color palette, which is why I'm drawn to cute, pink accessories like the Hello Kitty and Friends Razer Ornata V3 TKL keyboard, or the pink Divoom Time Gate digital clock. Cozy doesn't always mean cute, and if you aren't a fan of bright pink peripherals, you can still grab other lovely accessories to make your space feel comfortable and more like you. For example, if you're after a cottage core type look, grabbing the suddus Vine Fairy Lights, which are down to $15.33 at Amazon, might be more your thing. I'm definitely grabbing a set this Black Friday in order to wrap around my Zelda game and merch collection to make it look like something out of the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time.
Lastly, take note of the brands and media you love the most. I'm big into everything Sanrio and Hello Kitty, which is why my cart is full of items like the Sonix Hello Kitty Phone Stand, and the Sonix Nintendo Switch 2 case. If Hello Kitty isn't your thing, take some time to search for your favorite characters alongside the keywords "desk accessories" or "gaming accessories." You'll be surprised by just how many officially licenced items that are out there designed to make your gaming space as cute and cozy as humanely possible.
If your setup isn't pretty in pink...

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
