Bust out the 8-track cassettes and Walkmans, it's time to create a new Awesome Mix. Marvel and Disney have released the licensed songs from the official Guardians of the Galaxy 2 soundtrack, and, as expected, it's filled with bona fide rock classics.
Turn it up. The official setlist for #AwesomeMixVol2 has arrived. Download this Friday https://t.co/Nazp2oAbpS #GotGVol2 pic.twitter.com/aZoOr9vIAyApril 19, 2017
Now, Marvel says that the list in its entirety will be available to download this Friday, April 21, but the only song you can't already get is "Guardians Inferno" by The Sneepers, ft. David Hasselhoff. That tune was co-written by director James Gunn and composer Tyler Bates, and is a bit of a gag. It even uses (and rhymes) the scientific name for raccoon!
Star-Lord has good taste in music. That's just part of who he is. And if you don't believe me, fire up your time machine, go back to the summer of 2014, and try to find anyone that didn't have Redbone's "Come And Get Your Love" in their music library. So yeah, I'm looking forward to hearing Fleetwood Mac at every party this year.
Couple of other things I'm looking forward to: watching Baby Groot "steal the show" and Sylvester Stallone (now that we know who he's playing). Want more about GOTG2 news? Check out our everything you need to know feature or pick up a copy of this month's Total Film magazine.
