The first trailer has arrived for Antoine fuqua's Olympus Has Fallen , in which the White House is the setting for a balls-out action thriller.
Aaron Eckhart plays the president of the US, while Gerard Butler is his closest bodyguard. Together, the two of them will have to go full badass when the White House is overrun by terrorists.
Fortunately, Morgan Freeman is also on hand to pull the strings from outside the combat zone. And Gerard Butler also hasn't forgotten how to get Spartan in the face of danger...

Gleefully OTT action flicks are few and far between these days, and this one has a high-concept set-up to genuinely catch the imagination. Put simply, we're sold.

Co-starring Dylan McDermott, Ashley Judd and Angela Bassett, Olympus Has Fallen will open in the UK on 19 April 2013. It beats its White-House-in-peril rival - White House Down , starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx - out of the gate by several months, with WHD arriving on 2 September 2013.
