Pocketpair has finally detailed and dated Palworld's second ever crossover update, this time with the hugely-acclaimed retro FPS Ultrakill, which is bringing more guns and base customization next month: December 17, 2025.
Ultrakill might be one of the most beloved shooters on Steam with well over 120,000 positive user reviews on the platform, so it makes sense that such a big part of the Ultrakill x Palworld update is so focused on the shooting of it all.
The 'Home Sweet Home' update's trailer, which you can see below, shows off some of the shooter's most famous weapons and its super cool coin parry mechanic, as well as playable versions of Ultrakill's V.1 and V.2. Plus, the update also comes with more base customization options, mainly the ability to recolor building materials (or the ability to make your Pals do it for you.)
What raised the eyebrow of many a fan even more is the brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-it 1.0 tease reserved for the end of the trailer that shows a player character facing down a huge, ominous, shadowy Pal that seems to have jumped out of a body of water.
We can only see parts of its silhouette, but many fans are speculating that it might be the Legendary flying, colossal whale Pal that was first shown off years ago in a pre-release trailer. The jewel atop its head, the placement of its eyes, its generally blobby shape, and the emphasis on water certainly point in that direction.
