Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition pre-orders are here, but the lack of a bonus is not so wonderful

Quick pre-orders:

US: $79.99 at GameStop

UK: £64.43 at ShopTo

If you loved your trip to the Flower Kingdom the first time around, Super Mario Bros Wonder is back yet again, blossoming on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Super Mario Bros Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition pre-orders are live for $79.99 (GameStop) / £64.99 (Nintendo) already, and Nintendo has even launched an actual talking Talking Flower toy alongside the new version of the game if you have an extra $34.99 to spare. There's even a new line of Super Mario Bros Wonder amiibo that unlock power-ups in both the original Switch and Switch 2 versions, yet pre-order bonuses are nowhere to be found.

I'd be happy with a tiny Prince Florian keychain or some stickers with this release, but so far the physical copies come with the shiny red box, the Switch game on the cart, and that's that. At least there's plenty of new content to enjoy, from a new 4K resolution in docked mode and faster loading times, to the addition of Princess Rosalina and her adorable Luma pal as a playable character.

There's also a local multiplayer plaza by the name of Bellabel Park, and GameShare compatibility so you can play locally with your pals with just one copy of the game. If that still all sounds good to you, I've gathered all the best Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition pre-order links down below so you can snag your copy ahead of the March 26 release date.

If you're desperate for a physical copy of Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition, GameStop is your best bet right now. You can grab the updated version of the game for $79.99, but with a 2-3 business day shipping estimate, you likely won't get your copy on release day.

US pre-orders for Super Mario BRos Wonder on the Nintendo Switch 2 are a bit trickier to find than their UK counterparts, and that includes at Amazon. Right now, there's no sign of the new version at the retailer, but I'll let you know the moment that changes.

Best Buy is normally pretty quick at dropping pre-orders for the latest Switch 2 games, but Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition has yet to appear as the US retailer. Neither have the brand-new amiibo, but I suspect that will change in the near future, and I'll update this page the moment that it does.

If you care more about saving cash, you can pre-order Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition at ShopTo for just £64.43. The UK retailer is well-known for its lower pre-order prices, and this is the cheapest you'll find on the market right now.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Switch 2 + Meetup In Bellabel Park | £66.99 at Nintendo

If you're eager to grab that Talking Flower toy and some of the new Super Mario Bros Wonder amiibo, it'd make sense to grab your Switch 2 copy of the game straight from the same place - Nintendo UK. The official retailer as the physical copy of the game for its full £66.99 MSRP, which isn't ideal, but it will arrive in a pretty Super Mario-branded box at least.

Amazon hasn't yet dropped its Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 pre-orders, but that's not a shock. It sometimes takes the massive retailer a moment to pop up these Switch 2 releases, but I'll be sure to update this page the moment I see that shiny red box make an appearance.

Very is one of the most underrated UK retailers for games out there, but it usually has every Switch and Switch 2 release out there, and some accessories too. So far, the Switch 2 version of Super Mario Bros Wonder hasn't dropped yet, but I imagine it will in due time if previous releases are anything to go by.

So far, I can only find the original Switch version of Super Mario Bros Wonder at Argos, but that's not too surprising. Sometimes it takes a few extra days after announcements for brand-new Switch 2 releases to drop at the UK retailer, and I'll be here to let you know when it does.

Rosalie Newcombe
Hardware Editor

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
