House of the Dragon season 3, much like the second season, consists of eight episodes. It appears we won't be going back to the tried-and-tested Westeros tradition of 10 episodes anytime soon.
Despite the behind-the-scenes issues affecting the show (including a falling out of sorts between showrunner Ryan Condal and author George R.R. Martin), HBO has renewed House of the Dragon for a fourth season. So, no, House of the Dragon season 3 is not the final season.
