Bradley Cooper is one of Total Film's favorite actors.
Whether he's doing comedy, action or serious drama, he's almost always the most compelling person onscreen.
And it appears he had a good teacher.
We've just discovered footage from American telly institution Inside The Actors Studio that reveals Cooper sought advice from Sean Penn whilst studying to be an actor.
This Sunday, like Penn before him, Cooper will attend the Oscars as a nominee - alongside the likes of Robert De Niro. Pretty nice story.
If you have time, check out Cooper's return to the Actors Studio , this time as a guest.
If you're not welling up within the first three minutes, you're stronger than we are.

So, the message here? Stay in school. And if you have the chance to ask Sean Penn a question, always do.
