Star Wars legend, Peter Mayhew (aka Chewbacca) has taken to Twitter to share some pages from his original Star Wars script. While his lines might be limited to Wookie roars, it's still an exciting bit of memorabilia for fans, but that's not all...
Starting today I'll post a few pages from my original @StarWars script each day leading up to a big announcement. pic.twitter.com/ReXI4hyQo1February 17, 2016
#chewscript 002 Lol, "a flurry of electronic swearing"... Can't you just see Kenny doing it? Love it. @starwars pic.twitter.com/U9bzmXS3tVFebruary 19, 2016
Cool, right? You might have noticed that we can expect more pages to come as Mayhew says he'll be posting a few pages each day, but the more exciting news is that it's all leading up to a big announcement.
What this could be is anyone's guess, but hopefully it won't be the news that Mayhew will be retiring from playing his iconic Wookie role. It has to be said, when the cast for Star Wars 8 was announced recently, Mayhew's name was missing, but I thought it was just an oversight! Could it mean that Chewie won't be returning for the sequel?
No word yet on how long we'll have to wait for Mayhew's big announcement, but we'll keep our eyes glued to his Twitter account and let you know as soon as it happens.
Directed by Rian Johnson and starring Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega, Star Wars: Episode VIII is released on December 15, 2017.
