Rumour: Bryan Cranston cast as Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2

While Warner Bros and DC are yet to officially confirm the news, insider sources are suggesting that Bryan Cranston has been cast as Lex Luthor in Man of Steel 2 / Batman vs Superman .

The Breaking Bad star has been a fan-favourite dream casting since Man of Steel was announced, but now Cosmic Book News is reporting that the deal is done, and that Cranston has signed on for a six movie deal.

The news will allegedly be made official following the end of the critically acclaimed drama, and will pave the way for a movie role that will see the folically averse star pop up in a number of DC movies ("think of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury popping up in every Marvel movie in the run-up to The Avengers ").

Cranston himself has already shown interest in the role , and his comments certainly seem to suggest he has a handle on the man behind the megalomania.

Until Warner Bros or Cranston himself come out and confirm the news, we're still a little dubious - but it's certainly exciting speculation.
