9 things we never expected to see at Leipzig

A wooden horse

A barely serviceable model of a horse, whittled out of wood. We think it was being used to promote some German horsey DS game, but we didn't want to loiter too long in case we got roped in to some half-hour presentation on a game aimed at three-year old girls. It looks like the sculptor spent so long on the body, he only had time to bang in four fence posts for legs. Still, it did have a certain lovableness about it and we hope the rope around its neck wasn't an indication that it would later be suspended and bashed with sticks before being burnt to ashes when the kids realized that it wasn't full of sweets.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
