Electronic Arts and Starz Media are joining up to develop an animated film that will serve as a prequel to EA's upcoming survival horror title Dead Space, and revealed additional animation projects in progress for two other unspecified EA franchises.

Gamers can prepare for a scare this Halloween with EA having today announced that its sci-fi survival horror, Dead Space, will be released across Europe and North America on October 31.
From the article: "Electronic Arts and Image Comics today announcd a new comic book series based upon the upcoming original survival horror video game; Dead Space. This new six-book series set in the Dead Space universe will be written and illustrated by Ben Templesmith and written by Antony Johnston."

In the brilliant, bold and often-bloody Dead Space gamers will step into a third-person sci-fi survival horror experience that promises to deliver the ultimate in psychological thrills and gruesome action.
GameInformer website has revealed the magazine's October cover, slipping out an artwork and title of EA's upcoming survival-horror action, Dead Space. While the game shouldn't be missed out on by fans of Event Horizon movie, it ultimately deals with humanity discovering a forgotten alien existence in the far reaches of the galaxy.
