I will wait for a real Mario game or an HD Zelda/Metroid before I even consider this concole. ZombiU and Rayman look cool but other than that the lineup is pretty weak. All the other good stuff can be played on current-gen concoles.

Wonderful. Share a website with you , ( ) Believe you will love it. We accept any form of payment.

I counted 34 games there (so far) and unfortunately I'm only interested in ONE of them, ZombiU. And even then, that's only a passing interest. I was kind of hoping for Nintendo to be saving details of a new 3D Mario or Zelda and announcing them as a huge surprise during the launch hype. Can you imagine? Say, 3 weeks until launch and they suddenly say, "Oh, by the way, we've secretly been finishing up Super Mario Universe/"Legend of Zelda: XX", it's out on launch day..."

Ugh, I really, REALLY hate the art direction Mario has decided to go with. I wish they had taken more of a Rayman Origins style. Other than that I'm really excited for some of these games. I love Scribblenauts and if Trine 2 is half as good looking as it is on PC count me in! I am slightly concerned about the alleged game cost though.....
  • CitizenWolfie - September 13, 2012 3:16 p.m.

Me too. I'm still hoping they will come back to a 16bit style, sprite-based art direction if not the Rayman Origins style. Something along the lines of Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island

Meh, I think ill wait for the real next gen
  • ObliqueZombie - September 13, 2012 11:08 a.m.

So, what, next gen is determined by graphics? Even though the WiiU is 1.5x to be more powerful than the current consoles (rumored, at least), but with RAM 20x more than what we have now? It's about the games. Have you SEEN WiiU? Or the fact that you can purchase NES/SNES/N64/Gamecube games on the market, let alone potential Wii games? This is the "real next gen." And it sure as hell plays differently and probably better than what the "real next gen" has to offer. See: your whole room being a kinect.

"It's about the games. Have you SEEN WiiU? Or the fact that you can purchase NES/SNES/N64/Gamecube games on the market, let alone potential Wii games?" To be fair, a standard Wii can run all of those games, with the added bonus that you'd probably pick up a boxed copy of a Gamecube game cheaper than if the Wii Store started selling them. Let alone a PC emulator for free. I do see what you mean regarding the rest of your point but you should be careful about making claims about it playing differently/better. After all, the PSVita already has the potential to do what the Gamepad is doing and unfortunately, that really only leaves the potential for better graphics. Basically, my point is that Nintendo aren't really claiming the WiiU is the "next gen." It seems more of a catch-up exercise to the current "HD-Gen" and sadly (as a Nintendo fan) that means that by the time the WiiU does have the Zeldas and the Marios etc. coming out, it's likely to be getting overtaken by the next generations of MS and Sony consoles. But I'm just playing Devil's Advocate to your comment and I hope I'm wrong in my predictions :)
  • ObliqueZombie - September 13, 2012 3:46 p.m.

I'm claiming it'll be better control-wise, only because it's been loosely claimed that every next-gen Xbox will home a "Kinect 2," AND that said Kinect (or other motion controlling peripheral) will try to make your living room a, to put it bluntly, a hologram for the game. We've all seen how gimmicky the Kinect is, and we're already found out that using your whole body for a game is pointless and, quite frankly, not fun. Also, I'd to point out I meant "have you seen ZombiU." I was definitely typing a little too fast, and it came out as "WiiU." The former would make much more sense. Lastly, generations of consoles aren't marked by their graphics, though that's sure as hell one of the biggest factors. The WiiU was, whether we want to admit it or not, the the head of our 7th generation consoles. Not only has the WiiU's hardware not been tested to its fullest, like every console release, but the RAM does in fact house 20x more than what is in our current console specs. ( ). Playing catch-up in the graphical department means nothing if the games can utilize the potential immersion boost and intuitive controls the GamePad can bring us. Also, the Vita has but maybe two games. /twocents

    or pikmin
  • TheFabricOfTime - September 13, 2012 6:07 p.m.

    Awh no :( No Pikmin?!?
  • ObliqueZombie - September 13, 2012 11:10 a.m.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until possibly early 2014 for that, at least according to this article by WiiU Daily: But if those "screenshots" are anything to go by... ho man.
