TalkRadar UK Episode 91 - Pre-E3 Special

Welcome one and all to a very special podcast. What makes it so special, you ask? Well not only is it set to make you even more excited about E3 in preparation for next week's big event, we've also gone to the trouble of writing 'special' on the header above.

As well as regulars such as the GamesRadar Hotline and What We've Been Playing we discuss the games that are making us giddy to see more of at E3. We also hammer out a wish list of big hitters we'd like to see at the show, which includes a segue into a long conversation about GTA V and Bully 2. We also hazard a guess as to who will win the conference war between the big three, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, and why we're hopefully optimistic of the show being aimed at hardcore gamers and not casual gaming buffoons.

Like matt said I can't get too excited about stuff I now a lot about. All the 3 games, Skyrim, Batman etc... all going to be amazing but I would rather not have them ruined by seeing the spoilers. I'm interested in Nintendo's conference, GTA 5 info, any surprise games/announcements and seeing what proprietary game format Ninty have come up with this time to kill the mood. They just can't f'in help themselves.

Another great one, could use a sprinkle of Towelly though for the usual sega stuff.

Loved hearing your E3 expectations guys! Personally, I'd love to see more square enix stuff, especially FFXIII-2. I loved XIII (my favourite game of last year), and I want to see more, especially since Squeenix have promised some big changes from XIII. Can't wait!

Wow, the fanart of Cundy as Tingle are distrubing. I fear the images will haunt my dreams. @barniebo The guys (from both sides of the pond) know what they are talking about. I got the same feeling relistening to an older talkradar when Brett Elston corretly predicted the fate of guitar hero (the stupid roadie mode for Wii, the story based game, and the death of the series).

I'm constantly re-listening to the back catalogue of TRUK, and the one premonition that really stands out is Dave H's fears about Bizarre Creations (RIP). He forecast the whole saga from being ignored (Blur) to being given the poison chalice (Bond) and to it's eventual demise. Whenever I listen to those episodes it nye on brings a lump to my throat. Any chance you can think of six little numbers for me, Dave, (between 1 and 49)?

I'd love to see GTA 5 set in England. Maybe we'd get a chance for some cameos from someone in a dark alleyway, muttering about getting mugged off. And we'd probably be able to get more open countryside areas, like in San Andreas, if they were able to stretch from London to Manchester and Cornwell, we'd get a lot of variety, and we'd be able to fit all of our favorite (British) podcasters in as characters, too. And if they replaced Ricky Gervais with Eddy Izzard it'd be perfect.

Deadly Premonition 2. Houghton is bang on the money. It is awesome but in the most insane way. Francis York Morgan (Call him York, everyone else does) is a great character and would like to see him cover some of the older murders he mentions in the game. Don't know if I'd want any extra budget given to it because that helped shape the game. I wouldn't say in any sense it's one of the best games I've played, but it is one of the most memorable. Also a sequel to Borderlands (Borderworlds...?) would be cool!

Loving TDar UK at the moment. Will you have one with the four of you at any point? Unless there are only 3 chairs...
