Next Splinter Cell delayed

Shares

Ubisoft has confirmed that its latest Splinter Cell game, Splinter Cell: Conviction, has been delayed.

Originally expected this November, the game now has a release date of Q1 2008 - going head-to-head with PS3 stealth star Metal Gear Solid 4.

We asked why the game has been pushed back.

"Ubisoft felt it was important to give our development teams some more time in order to perfect the game and to ensure that this title lives up to the high standards of Ubisoft and of the Splinter Cell franchise," the publisher told us.

Sounds good to us, the best Splinter Cell games were always the ones we had to wait forever to get our hands on.
