Mortal Kombat: Kenshi to begin slicing and dicing on July 5th

As far as blind telekinetic fighters who wield haunted ancestral swords go, few are as fit to engage in combat of the mortal variety than Kenshi. Knowing this, Warner Bros. Interactive has released word the conflicted fighter will arrive for Mortal Kombat as DLC on July 5th. And to get players pumped for Kenshi's arrival, the publisher has dropped a character pack trailer showcasing his move set and head splitting fatalities.

Above: Dang - forgot to mention this trailer isn't appropriate for work and/or children. Our bad

Kenshi is the second character pack to arrive for NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat reboot. The first, Skarlet, dropped last week (albeit a bit late for European PS3 owners). Series regular Rain and another unidentified kombatant are expected to arrival over the next few weeks.

So, Kenshi doesn't need to use is eyes or his hands to beat his opponent black and blue/red. If a good ninja doesn't need eyes, this guy goes them all one better, making him the best. He can chop someone's head off in the dark without even alerting them to his presence with his footsteps. How is that remotely fair? Even though superficial appearances mean nothing to a blind warrior, it would be nice if another classic skin pack is released alongside Kenshi as there was with Skarlet.

I've never been a big Kenshi fan but I always look forward to new things from Mortal Kombat so it's all good. I think I'm a little more excited for Rain to be released simply because I like the color purple.

He looks fun, but also like he might be cheap as fuck. We'll see I guess.
