First image of Ron Gilbert's next game arrives in puzzle form

Before Double Fine was kickstarting the world into submission, they recruited adventure game legend Ron Gilbert to make a new point-and-click adventure. With exception to a few images sent out from Gilbert's website, nothing was really known, until today. We received a small box in the mail filled with puzzle pieces that formed together to make the following image:

So, yeah. There's a first-look at Ron Gilbert and Double Fine's next game, whatever it's going to be. We're not going to lie, those characters sure look straight out of 1990s LucasArts games, and we're really excited to check out the game to see if it manages to capture the feel of those early classics.

Also included was a small slip of paper (not pictured) promising an actual look at the game in the near future. We're going to jump right onto that, and we'll report back as soon as we have something more solid to talk about.

And here's a closer look at the three main people, just in case you're interested:

So a kid, a scientist, and a knight. Alright, Gilbert, you've got our attention.

That looks more like a hillbilly than a kid. Most kids don't have beards.

Color me excited! Also, that really confused the hell out of me. I was like.......who the hell is Rob Gilbert? Ron's brother? :)

Ron Gilbert? Point n click? Sold!

So, it's a different game than the one that got kickstarted, or is it the same? If we're getting TWO Gilbert games in the near future, consider my pants soiled.
