First footage of new Wii U game from Xenoblade Chronicles dev

Nintendo has released the first footage of a new as-yet-untitled Wii U game from Xenoblade Chronicles developer, Monolith Soft. Watch it below:

The trailer was shown during the latest Nintendo Direct, which also produced two new Mario games, news of a Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD remake, and a brief glimpse of Bayonetta 2.

We’ll let you know more news on the untitled Monolith game as soon as we hear it.

    This game made my balls tingle a little in anticipation. I would like to forget about it until it is almost upon us. I will get too excited...

    Was that not Shulk at the end of the trailer? Also the battle system is incredibly reminiscent of Xenoblade chronicles. This makes it even harder to hold off buying a Wii U.

    Man, Monster Hunter must be the best thing since sliced bread to the Japanese gaming market. I wonder if it will ever gain that kind of ground in the US.

    Xenoblade was my GOTY for 2011 (Europe hell yeah). Looks really quite pretty and i like the style of the interface. And like Shawksta said, the message board type thing could hint at online maybe. Or just chat going on between party members maybe. Ugh..hype levels way too high right now to express myself D:
