Download of the Week: Borderlands heads up the PlayStation Store's return

Platform: PS3 | Publisher: 2K Games | Developer: Gearbox | Price: £15.99 | Size: 2Gb required

All our downloads are piped in with the lightning-quick Virgin Media 50Mb Broadband...

Cele-brate good times, COME ON! Yup, the PlayStation Store is back online, which means we actually get to include some exciting PS3 titles in our weekly download feature. To commemorate this special occassion the PSN is full of Spring Deals, and we don't mean half price slinkies. Chief of these is Borderlands, which has had its price slashed like a hot samurai sword through butter.

The epic cel-shaded shooter is perfect for team-based blasting. Think of it as a World of Warcraft dungeon siege except instead of mages and beards it's packed with customisable guns that fire numerous types of murdering rounds such as electric bolts and incendiary bullets. It's fun in solo mode, but the real fun is grabbing together a group of friends. So if you can find some like-minded, thrifty chums to dive into the action with then Borderlands won't disappoint. It is indeed all about Lilith. The little SMG-pimping minx.

Borderlands was a damn fine game (It's all about Lileth), although if anyone played it like myself, they spent as much time in the weapons screen as they did kicking ass! On the subject of FPS, pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever and got a Duke Keyring and BETA code, anyone played the BETA yet?
