Dead Space 3 gets new trailer at Gamescom 2012

Previous trailers for EA's upcoming horror opus, Dead Space 3, have shown off more of an action-oriented slant for the game. This new trailer reaffirms the game's roots in survival horror as practically the entire thing features people being ripped apart, screaming, or otherwise despairing.

There's not a moment that goes by in this trailer that isn't at least slightly creepy, though for us it definitely peaks with Isaac staring at the wall chanting "turn it off." We love that the Dead Space team understands that horror can be found in low key moments as well as high-action scenes. Someone uttering words they don't even understand can be just as unsettling as a scythe-armed alien trying to gut you.
