Tecmo Koei released a new video showing off their newly announced Dead of Alive 5 fighter. Named Mila, she's trained in Ultimate Fighting techniques and exhibits more than a few moves you'd expect to find in the octagon, such as the ground and pound.

The full release for Dead or Alive 5 is rapidly approaching on September 25 in North America followed by Japan on September 27, and a day later in the EU. We're just wondering if there are any other secrets Tecmo Koei is still holding back this close to the release date.

The random scenery objects in the first screenshots actually look kinda horrific, like some silly 2D stock items. Gotta say I like the way she looks. Doesn't actually seem to fit in the DoA universe at all, but that just makes her more interesting.

From what I gathered from the video, her MMA style(the strikes anyway) bear a strong resemblance to Hitomi's karate. Seeing that Hitomi is my favorite and most used fighter in DoA, it looks like I'll be spending a lot of time playing as Mila as well.

Huh, UFC fighter eh? that's actually pretty interesting. And I do believe her character design is leaps and bounds superior than the previously revealed character, Rig. And it's nice to see another lady that looks like she can pack a punch in her strikes, and a different kind of grappler other than a wrestler.

Top story tonight... Several trains have derailed in the metro downtown area causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage, nearly 300 civilian casualties, and hundreds more injuries. Authorities are baffled as several eyewitnesses claim the cause of this horrible tragedy was a "sparring match" between famed pro wrestler Tina Armstrong and an up and coming MMA fighter known only as "Mila." More on this later as it develops... In other news, is your infant trying to murder your neighbor's dog? The answer may shock you...

It's just a friendly sparring session.. that killed 150 people

YES! YES! YES!. Just what I needed in Dead or Alive 5, five train pile and complete destruction of public property. Still, Mila looks to be really good from where I'm sitting. I might have to switch her to my mains list for tag matches. She and Tina look like they'd go together fairly well. It's nice to see another grapple/strike balance female on roster.

    Well, that escalated quickly.
