Borderlands 2 now available for pre-order on PC

The 2K Games blog announced today that Borderlands 2 has officially gone up for pre-sale on the PC. Moreover, they're also offering a small bonus for those fans who want to hand over their money in advance.

Pre-ordering yourself a digital copy of Borderlands 2 gets you into the very "la-dee-da" Borderlands 2 Premiere Club. Which includes a gun pack, increased item discovery, the mysterious Vault Hunter's Relic, and most tantalizing of all, free and immediate access to the Mechromancer class.

If you've never tried the Borderlands series before, or if you're itching for a refresher before the game launches September 18th, you can currently get the original game for 75% off on Steam. That's just five measly dollars, or for an even better deal, the four-pack for just $15.

So much for the mechromancer being 2 or 3 months down the line XD I hope the early access to the mechromancer with the pre-order applies to the retail PC version, so I can try out the Mechromancer 2nd. Might give it a shot early on though, if only so I can upload footage of it so other people who don't have it can see how it works.

They don't say immediate access to it anywhere besides here. I'm saying the article is wrong. The page on steam even says "Receive a free download of the all-new Mechromancer character class as soon as she’s available" Available. Not immediately.

Well, I guess that settles it, there will not be local co-op for the PC version. I guess I'll be buying the 360 version instead.

Were you planning on playing splitscreen on your computer...ever? Why are you just now deciding which version you'll get? You should have known there wouldn't be any local coop on PC because, well, its a PC.

The PC version has LAN support as well as offline mode. I cannot comment if it has split screen local game on the PC though.
