After slamming Windows Phone 7, id confirms Rage on Android

An Android version of id Software's upcoming Rage iPhone game is also on its way, the developer confirmed today. The news comes almost immediately after id's John Carmack wrote on Twitter that a Windows Phone 7 port of the game is highly unlikely.

Carmack also revealed this news via Twitter, writing "I'm going to regret having 'ios' in all my type names when I port Rage Mobile to Android."

In case you missed it, here are all the juicy details from when id first announced the mobile version of Rage.

Something tells me my HTC Hero won't be able to handle this. Perhaps it's the fact that Angry Birds lags.
