The most frustrating tease
Unveiled with zero fanfare and no explanation, our first and only glimpse at Patapon was a short video sandwiched into a long montage of other upcoming PSP games at Sony's E3 press conference. It was never mentioned again, and when we asked Sony staff later what Patapon was, they told us they were just as much in the dark as we were. The game looks like what you'd get if you crossed LocoRoco's art style and 2D gameplay with real-time strategy and rhythm-based gameplay, so we're itching to find out more - but for now, nobody's talking.
Runner-up: Silent Hill V
This "unveiling" was distressingly sparse - just some rolling fog, a logo and a clumsy, stilted voice-over that sounded like it was recorded by a young marketing executive. What, no concept art?
