    I noticed that in the first picture, the game had a couple of completed rows in it, which most of us know causes the row to subsequently disappear. any particular reason the writer didn't catch that?

    Genius! GENIUS! Lesson #9: You spend your life arranging shit thrown at you (bricks) wasting your time making nice arrangements and just hoping to get lucky (the long Tetromino) to clear it all, but it may never come, and in the end you've wasted your life by being extra cautious and hopeful and never enjoying it while it lasted.
