Nintendo Direct Live Coverage – All the news as it happens from the June showcase
All the news, trailers, and Nintendo Direct announcements as they happen
As predicted, the Nintendo Direct for June 2026 is here, and we're covering all the announcements, world premieres, and trailer drops live as they happen. We've almost recovered from the excitement of the Summer Game Fest weekend, and now we've got one more showcase left to enjoy for this game announcement season.
We're hoping this is going to be a stellar showcase, as there are plenty of upcoming Switch 2 games we'd love to learn more about. We've had a tonne of new games announced and release dates confirmed over the last week or so, so now it's Nintendo's turn to follow suit.
The Nintendo Direct itself will last "roughly 50 minutes" and will "highlight upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games", which is wonderfully vague. Straight after you'll be able to stay tuned for Nintendo Treehouse: Live, which will run for "around 95 minutes". This live stream will give us closer looks at the gameplay of "select titles" from the Nintendo Direct.
So let's close out the Summer Game Fest schedule together as we bring you the Nintendo Direct live, starting with predictions on what we might well see.
What time is Nintendo Direct?
The Nintendo Direct time is as follows:
- 7am PT
- 10am ET
- 3pm UK
- 4pm CEST
Where to watch the Nintendo Direct
The Nintendo Direct will be airing on Nintendo's official YouTube channel, but you can also watch it right on this page while keeping up with all the key highlights! Handy!
While fingers are crossed for certain announcements, others are already starting to potentially leak through. One of the biggest rumors circulating ahead of the show is that of a new Wario game. The leaker who successfully predicted both Rayman Legends Retold and Spyro: A Realm Beyond first hinted at a new Wario title, and then said straight up that "a new Wario game is coming."
Sadly for fans of Mario's angry yellow doppelganger, we don't yet know what form that new game might take. There's some hope for a new Wario Land title, but that's certainly yet to be confirmed.
Professor Layton and the New World of Steam
This one is my personal pick for what I'd really like to see today, so I'm keeping everything crossed. It was first announced way back in 2023, and we've not really heard from it since. A Japanese-language trailer debuted at TGS, but I am craving more info. It's still scheduled to launch in 2026, and we're not even sure if it's launching on Switch 2 as well as the original Switch. So we're definitely due an update on what the Prof and Luke are up to next.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive that's seemingly connected to Fire Emblem: Three Houses thanks to the appearance of Sothis in the reveal trailer. The game appears to revolve around a tournament called the Heroic Games, which rewards the winner with a wish from the 'Divine Sovereign'. Each character has a personal drive as to why they want to win the wish.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave
I imagine seeing Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is pretty much a sure bet for today's Nintendo Direct. We last saw the upcoming title at the September Nintendo Direct last year, and it's rocking a loose '2026' release date. I reckon we're going to get a release date and some chunky gameplay for this at the Direct and beyond into Treehouse Live.
So let's get started shall we? We're going to round up our predictions and any rumors for the Nintendo Direct right here
