Watch Doctor Strange kind of suck at magic in his first battle

A new clip of Doctor Strange showing the surgeon-turned-sorcerer in what is hopefully his first real magical throwdown has arrived via Mashable. If you were Doctor Strange and your magical training at the Sanctum Sanctorum was interrupted by a gang of mages with runny eye shadow led by Mads Mikkelsen, what would you do? That's right - you'd use your modest abilities to try and kick some ass anyway. 

It's a succinct demonstration of why you should never leave a level 1 wizard to do the fighting by himself. Poor guy could really use a tank. But judging by the wonders Strange works in other trailers and all the excited reactions to early screenings, Doctor Strange will level up in short order.

Directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg and Mads Mikkelsen, Doctor Strange is released in UK cinemas on October 28, 2016 before opening in US theatres on November 4, 2016.
