Military fiction is all fine and good, but what about those poor sods who routinely end up snuffing it courtesy of Tom Clancy's biro bayonet? Sure, their suffering might be imaginary, but what of their real life inspirations? For some, the theme of contemporary conflict can cut much too close to the bone. Real war sucks, but the fantastical battles of the future? Well, they're just a damn good time now aren't they?

Chief among its many attractions are the ever-present space marines - futuristic grunts with big weapons and bad attitudes. Today's test aims to run players through a relative boot camp of confounding, hardcore and utterly perplexing questions all centred on these awesome soldiers of tomorrow.
