Shock, horror: Doctor Strange FINALLY confirmed to appear in Thor: Ragnarok

In quite possibly the most obvious bit of ‘wait, this wasn’t officially confirmed?’ news of all time, Disney have finally (accidentally?) revealed that, yup, the doctor is in: Doctor Strange will be in Thor: Ragnarok. I know, right? I’m as surprised as you are.

D23, Disney’s official fan club, revealed the following in their ‘Things We’re Most Excited for in 2017’ gush-a-thon: “Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.”

Thor last made an appearance, funnily enough, in the post-credits scene for Doctor Strange asking for a helping hand locating his half-brother Loki. It looks like the heroes will drape their capes on their super-powered backs for an almighty team-up to bring the god of mischief kicking and screaming back to Asgard.

Directed by Taika Waititi and starring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, Benedict Cumberbatch and Mark Ruffalo, Thor: Ragnarok will be released in UK cinemas on October 27, 2017 before opening in US theatres on November 3, 2017.
