Resident Evil 4 for iPad/iPhone receives platinum release
Capcom's popular app gets new chapters, modes and graphic updates
The Resident Evil 4 iOS game has received a platinum upgrade, adding new chapters, graphical enhancements and a dash of new gameplay tweaks to an already substantial mobile offering.
Released yesterday, Resident Evil 4: PLATINUM builds upon the content from the original Resident Evil 4: Mobile Edition with the inclusion of chapters 15 to 18, retina screen support, increased difficulty levels and a new game mode called 'coin shoot.'
Resident Evil's latest foray into mobile gaming may have garnered a giant 'meh' from the overall gaming community, but it has nabbed a decent rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars in the App Store. And hey, if you can find a better shooter for the iPhone for under $4.99 we'll eat our own shoes.
What's that id Software's John Carmack? Oh. Right.
