HBO is bringing Michael Crighton’s Westworld to the small screen, with the network ordering a full series to air in 2015.
The new show will be penned by none other than Jonathan Nolan, brother of Christopher, and the man responsible for co-writing the likes of Interstellar and The Dark Knight.
For those unfamiliar with Westworld, the 1973 sci-fi was set in a futuristic adult theme park, where mayhem is unleashed by a malfunctioning Wild West robot.
The new series will boast a staggeringly starry cast, featuring the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden and Rodrigo Santoro.
As well as penning the script, Nolan has directed the pilot episode, with J.J. Abrams on board as an executive producer. Westworld will arrive in 2015, with an exact date to be confirmed.
