The Warlocks’ Starfire Protocol is underwhelming, just adding an extra fusion grenade to each charge. If you’re a Warlock and grenades are your bag, you’re much, much better off going for Heart of the Praxic Fire. Every time. Always go for Heart of the Praxic Fire. Hunters do a little better, with the ATS/8 furnishing a zoom during Golden Gun use, as well as a longer duration. Titans certainly fare best for armour though. No Backup plans activates your Force Barrier every time you get a shotgun kill – a seriously big boon for close-range combat specialists – and increases its duration too.
But the dark, collapsing star of the show, devouring all in its vicinity, is Bad Juju. This monstrously, hedonistically vile pulse rifle is fast, brutal, fires in full-auto – its low impact more than made up for with its accuracy and rate of fire - and as its actual perk, instantly reloads and increases its damage output on every kill, and adds bonus charge to your super. You probably want one of these. In fact yeah, everyone wants one of these.
In accordance with the prophecy, Xur will be in the Tower until 10am UK / 2am PT on Sunday, at which point he'll vanish for another week. So get in there soon, and sample his wares.
