Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore take The Brady Bunch to Africa in their third on-screen pairing, a coarse romcom that not even their proven chemistry can salvage. An early scene in which their single-parent characters meet cute in a convenience store – he buying tampons for his eldest, she scoring porn for hers – sets the low tone.
And things hardly improve when they find themselves at the same safari resort with their five respective offspring, in a fantasy veldt wholly subservient to wealthy American tourists. The worst moment? When Drew makeovers Adam’s “fugly” daughter (Bella Thorne) into perv-pleasing jailbait.
