BLASTERMIND Jim Henson's Creature Shop

Jim Henson and his creature shops on both sides of the Atlantic (though sadly the UK one is no more) have, over the years, been responsible for some of the most affecting and memorable visual effects in cinema history. Even since the tragic sudden death of their founder in 1990 the Jim Henson Company has continued to contribute to film and TV, creating the effects for others’ projects and commissioning their own productions to this day. In addition to the phenomenal success of The Muppets franchise (with the recent movie no exception), the puppetry experts have also created some of the weirdest and darkest creature designs in sci-fi and fanstasy with films like The Dark Crystal and shows like Farscape.

Usual deal, 12 pictures below, and all we need are the titles of the shows or films that these guys starred in.

Usual request: please don’t put answers in the comments section below (though feel free to use it to boast/bemoan how well/badly you’re doing) but the folks on this thread are quite happy for you to post and discuss answers if you follow the golden rule of only posting answers in invisible text (if you don’t know how ask somebody there – they’re very friendly).

“And now let’s get things started!”
