New Lego AT-ST just stomped its way to a record low price ahead of Prime Day
One of this year's best Lego Star Wars sets has never been cheaper

One of the latest Lego Star Wars kits, the Lego AT-ST, just fell to its cheapest ever price.
This 1,513-piece model has come tumbling down to £139.99 at Very instead of £179.99, marking a record low for the new Lego AT-ST. Because we've not seen such a steep discount before, I expect this Lego Star Wars kit to fly off the shelves faster than a burning TIE Fighter. As an example, the model is also £139.99 at Amazon rather than the usual RRP of £180 but is on backorder only – the retailer has clearly sold out of its allocation for the time being. Very still has stock available now, though, so while I'd normally default to Amazon when shopping for the best Lego sets, its rival is a better bet in this case.

Save £40 - This model has never been cheaper than it is now, and we haven't even reached October Prime Day deals yet. Seeing as it's rare to see the AT-ST dip below £170 most of the time, this price cut on the set is a total steal.
Buy it if:
✅ You enjoy complex display kits
✅ You have a soft spot for the 'chicken walker'
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want a toy for kids

As part of the Ultimate Collector Series (AKA 'UCS'), the Lego AT-ST is a hyper-detailed display model made to sit in pride of place on a shelf. This thing is more than 14.5 inches (37cm) tall and 8.5 inches (22 cm) wide, so it's got an imposing presence befitting the evil Galactic Empire. It's also posable with a rotating head, moveable shutters, and adjustable laser cannons, which is something I always look for in kits. No, not the adjustable laser cannons, though that's obviously a bonus; I'm a fan of posable models that allow you to inject some life into the set, like the Lego Piranha Plant or Lego Optimus Prime.
This set also features a hatch you can open at the top, revealing a two-person cockpit inside with seating, levers, and consoles for your minifigures to use. If you're anything like me and enjoy hidden spaces filled with detail, you'll probably appreciate this unnecessary but very fun touch.
Speaking of minifigures, you get a totally unique one included here - the Lego AT-ST Driver. He can sit in the model itself or stand on the information plaque that comes with every UCS model, looking down disapprovingly at all the Rebel scum arrayed before him.
Considering how this discount comes a full day ahead of October's Prime Day Lego deals, I have high hopes about the savings we might see over the next 48 hours. Keep a close eye on Amazon, Very, and the rest as sales season gets officially underway!
