The Fades Series Two Sign The Petition

Want to see BBC Three's superb supernatural drama return as much as we do? Then it’s time to do something about it…

We love The Fades here at SFX . In the six episodes that made up its first series, it managed to embody everything that is great about British televisual fantasy. A great concept, brilliant dialogue, fantastic performances from relative newcomers (Iain De Caestecker, Daniel Kaluuya) and more established names (Johnny Harris, Natalie Dormer) alike and witty, intelligent writing from Jack Thorne helped mark it out as something unique. It could be scary, hilarious and profound, often within the same line, and quickly became a mid-week highlight.

Now it’s off the air, it’s time to start thinking about a second series. At least it is if the BBC has any shred of sense – if ever there was a new show that earned a second roll of the dice, it’s The Fades. In the grand tradition of fans supporting their favourite BBC Three shows online, there’s now both a twitter petition (thanks to those lovely ladies at Geeky Girls Love Sci-Fi ) and a Facebook group dedicated to getting Paul, Mac and the rest back on our screens.

Sign up, get yourself involved and when Auntie (hopefully) listens, you can say that it was all down to you. Imagine the warm sense of satisfaction…
