Star Wars Battlefront's Outer Rim DLC adds Greedo and a new mode

Lando Calrissian's flappy faced co-pilot confirmed: Nien Nunb and Greedo are heading to Star Wars Battlefront as the heroes of its Outer Rim DLC pack. EA and DICE finally filled in the details on the (literally) cinematic shooter's first paid expansion in an update to its official site.

Nien Nunb will likely join the Rebels with a precision targeting rifle, while Greedo seems destined to lend his blaster pistol to the Empire despite their human supremacist policies. The rowdy Rodian is out for blood after decades of having his trigger finger and vest/tracksuit combo mocked, so I'd watch out for him. Speaking of shooting first, the expansion will add in a new Relby V-10 rifle and DT-12 blaster pistol, as well as Star Cards for the Scatter Gun, Dioxis Grenade, and Adrenaline Stim.

As for new maps, Outer Rim will extend the galactic struggle to the smelting factory and industrial platforms of Sullust, and to the throne room and sail barge garage of Jabba's Palace. It will also introduce a new mode called Extraction, in which Rebels must bring a key shipment back to their transport while under fire from Imperial forces.

Star Wars Battlefront's Outer Rim DLC is expected to arrive sometime this month, then the next pack will ship out over the summer.
