Spanish man arrested for trying to blackmail Nintendo

It was at that pointthat police arrested him in the southern province of Malaga. They will be charging him with the intent to release the entire contents of his inappropriately obtained data.

Nintendo has not released a statement, nor has it acknowledged that anyone's personal information was compromised. The company said it could not comment on an ongoing investigation.

There is still some question as to whether the data in question was actually from Nintendo itself, or from a third-party company affiliated with Nintendo.

Data's evil brother, Lore, has not responded.
