Shenmue 3 gets a new trailer as Kickstarter reaches $4.9 million

There's only three days left to go on the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter and an update from the team has given us a new trailer, revealing an all new scene from the game. The Kickstarter total has now reached a cool $4.9 million since its surprise unveiling at Sony's E3 conference and there are some new ultimate fan rewards on show. For the (not insignificant) sum of $6000 you can be one of the guests at the Choubu Inn as a non combat NPC. It's always good to have the option, right?

"It is our pleasure to announce the new scene from Shenmue 3!," says the update. "It is still a work in progress, but Yu Suzuki has sent it with loving care and hopes it will be all that the fans of the series have come to love, and will show those new to the game some of the wonder and magic they can expect from the continually unfolding world of Shenmue." Check out the trailer, complete with some interesting choices of zooms, below.
