There aren’t many actors out there who can say they’ve turned out for both Marvel and DC, but Rosario Dawson is about to do just that, with THR reporting she has joined the cast for Warner’s The LEGO Batman Movie. She’ll reportedly be voicing none other than Barbara Gordon, Jim Gordon’s daughter who goes on to become Batgirl.
Dawson is currently a key player in Marvel’s TV universe, starring as Claire Temple (Matt Murdock’s out-of-hours medic) in Daredevil. She’s also set to appear in Luke Cage, and will most likely be involved in Daredevil’s second series next year.
The LEGO Batman Movie will see her star opposite Will Arnett as the caped crusader, and Michael Cera as his sidekick, Robin. Zach Galifianakis is currently in talks to play the Joker, with the film set to be directed by Chris McKay. The LEGO Batman Movie will open in the UK and US on February 10 2017.
