    X + square = jumping strike
    L2 while running = jump kick
    R2 with Will = Sword barrage
    R2 with Jack = Flamin sword (+square = explosion)
    X + X + square = lunge
    X + X + X = spin strike

    Defeat the Spanish Captain

    Spanish ship

    First, kill the soldiers,then make Jack light up big poles with his flaming sword. When the Captain comes out use X, not square to slash his back 3 times in a row. Quickly move out of the way or else he will hit you. Keep doing that until all the metal is gone. Then make Jack do his flaming sword on the middle pole.

    Sword Upgrades

    To gain an Oriental Sword for your character, play the "Temple Terror" level. Get up to the part where you are sealed in the corridor with the two archers and enemies are coming from the wall. Open the chest on the side and you will swap your cutlasses for glowing Oriental Blades.

    How to Beat Blacksmoke James

    To beat Blacksmoke James, keep using your heavy attack until he goes into the smoke. Then throw the powerdregs at where the bullets are coming from. Repeat until you beat him.

    Rather than throwing objects at him, cut the ropes that hold the chandelier above Pentel's head.

    Defeat the Fat Boss in Tortuga

    Tortuga

    Distract the fat boss and when he attacks, go behind him and hit him continuously. Also, when he jumps onto the buildings, he always throws bombs.

    Easy Way to Beat Jacobey

    When you are fighting Jacobey, instead of throwing things, make him throw his bombs at the chains by standing next to them. If you do, the bell above him will fall on him.

    More Powerful Swords

    Sky, Sand, And Gold

    On your way back from the booby-trapped gold you will run into a small river. At that point you look around and see a spider web and plant gate on the river. Cut through it and there will be a chest, open it and you will get better swords that glow white.
