The last time they worked together, Nicolas Cage and director Dominic Sena brought us car-stealing chaos with Gone In Sixty Seconds. Now they’re switching to supernatural chills for Season Of The Witch.
No, it isn’t a remake of Halloween III, it’s the tale of 14th knights century charged with transporting a girl believed to be the witch who spread the Black Plague. Cage will play their leader, reports Variety .
Relativity Media is picking up the project from where it had been bubbling in Columbia’s development cauldron, with Dark Knight producer Charles Roven leaping aboard to hopefully ensure it’s better than either Sixty Seconds or anything Cage has made recently.
Bragi Schut Jr, who previously co-created and wrote for short-lived sci fi TV series Threshold, is the man behind the script, and the film starts shooting early November in Austria and Hungary.
