The science fiction legend is bringing his Doctor Who novel to Bath in July
Space opera heavyweight Alastair Reynolds is the latest big-name author to contribute to the growing canon of Doctor Who novels. Following in the footsteps of Stephen Baxter and Michael Moorcock , Reynolds - famous to SFX readers for the Revelation Space series and novels like Century Rain - has written a thrilling adventure for the third Doctor. And he's coming to Topping %26 Company in Bath to talk about it on Tuesday 2 July. Will you be joining us there?
Alastair Reynolds in store session
Venue: Topping & Company bookshop, BA1 5LS
Date: Tuesday 2 July
Time: Doors open at 7.45pm for 8pm start.
Price: £6 voucher in advance, £7 voucher on the day
Harvest Of Time follows the Doctor through sinister incidents out at sea, mysterious amnesia and the artful schemes of the Master. The book is favourably reviewed in SFX 236, where we say, "Reynolds nails both the family horror tone of the series and the characterisation of the regulars. He balances the more cosmic settings with the real world."
Reynolds will be appearing in person to read from the book, answer reader questions and sign copies. SFX is proud to be associated with this event at our local bookshop, which follows in a tradition that includes appearances by the likes of Iain M Banks and Joe Abercrombie. For more information visit the store's events page or email the organisers on bath@toppingbooks.co.uk .
