Marvel Comics continues the slow-burn release of its X-Men 'X of Swords'-related rollout of the October 2020 solicitations.
After last week's reveal of parts three through nine of the 24-part event playing out in the monthly X-series, this week the publisher revealed the full creative team and solicitation copy for the 11th chapter: X of Swords: Stasis #1, by writers Tini Howard and Jonathan Hickman and artists Pepe Larraz (who also provides the cover) and Mahmud Asrar.
"This mysterious group of swordbearers come from the land of Arakko, and the X-Men will have to draw swords of their own to defend the new mutant nation of Krakoa," reads the official description. "Arakko and its visitors are shrouded in mystery, and none more so than the group’s leader. While her identity remains classified, her story is sure to shock X-Men fans everywhere."
Newsarama previously revealed the names of nine of the 10 new X-Men X of Swords villains - the Swordbearers of Arakko - seen on the cover, and we were spot on in our speculation that their unnamed leader is a woman whose identity is intended to shock readers.
'X of Swords' kicks off in September with two prelude issues in Excalibur #12 and X-Men #12 and the first two chapters, X of Swords: Creation #1 and X-Factor #4.

The solicitation and cover for October's X-Men #13, the 10th chapter of 'X of Swords' has not yet been revealed by Marvel.
