The first image from Alexandra Aja's new thriller, The 9th Life Of Louis Drax, has been released, giving us our first look at the film's star, Fifty Shades Of Grey actor Jamie Dornan.
Though we have pretty much no idea what's going on in the scene depicted, we do know that the film revolves around doctor Allan Pascal (Dornan), a neurologist who attempts to help Louis, a boy who fell off a cliff and ended up in a coma.
This new shot from the film suggests that Pascal may attempt to commune with Louis psychically, though at this point, that's pure conjecture.
Written by Aja's Horns buddy Max Minghella, the director has revealed that the film will boast a Hitchcockian vibe.
“[Jamie's] playing this leading male who is torn between his feelings for Louis’ mother and a desire to shine the light on something that is dark and scary,” Aja told Entertainment Weekly recently. “It’s definitely something he’s never done before.”
The 9th Life Of Louis Drax opens in cinemas later this year.
