Anchorman: The Legend Continues has announced a major casting coup, with none other than Harrison Ford announced as the latest addition to the comedy ensemble.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Ford has signed on to play a rival news anchor, one held in significantly more esteem than Ron Burgundy. Great Odin’s raven!
It’s looking like poor Ron is going to be up to his neck in competition second time out, with Ford lining up alongside James Marsden as the top news dogs in San Diego.
Kristen Wiig has also joined the production as a potential love interest for Steve Carell’s character, Brick Tamland. And of course, all the old favourites from Channel 4 News will be present and correct.
Directed by Adam McKay and co-starring Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate, Anchorman: The Legend Continues will open in the UK on 1 August 2013.
